Thinking far beyond tiles as building materials, founder of the company, Carine Canavesi perceived a promising market in positioning the decorative tile as an object of design.

Carine Canavesi has a degree in Architecture, from Universidade Mackenzie, in São Paulo, and a masters degree in graphic design, by Scuola Politecnica, in Milan. During her carreer, has worked in several countries, including Brasil, Italia, New Zealand and Australia as a graphic designer.

Pavão employs 20 workers, all women. They are usually the breadwinner of their families, and have 2 or 3 children.

We give fully support for these women, including  benefits beyond the mandatory ones, such as: medical assistance paid for them in full and for their children, we provide transportation from and to work, life insurance and an extra help in buying food.

We started this year a scholarship project with a local private school to enroll our children’s employees. Today, they are all enrolled in public schools.

Pavão has adopted since the foundation, as policy, not to sell our tiles with minor defects. We donate these tiles to non profit organizations, public hospitals, day-cares, retirement homes, etc.
